Yountville Wineries
This rich patchwork of varied soils and microclimates allow wineries to cultivate and produce a wide range of wine varietals. No other area in all the Napa Valley boasts this particular geomorphic combination. The Yountville region also benefits from the cool marine air currents from San Pablo Bay to the south, that are trapped when they reach the Yountville Mounts, keeping natural "air conditioning" working even on the warmest summer days. These milder temperatures allow the grapes of the region plenty of time to develop unique flavor characteristics, demonstrating the local "terroir." Based on its unique soil and climatologically data, Yountville was granted Appellation status in 1999. As with all AVAs, a minimum of 85% Yountville grapes must be used in the bottle to have the Yountville AVA cited on the label. Given these ideal growing conditions, making high-quality wine in Yountville is redundant. Wineries that practice sustainable farming without the use of pesticides, planting, pruning, and picking by hand, and apply attention, care, and diligence in the cellar stand out as the finest producers from our region. Cliff Lede Vineyards
- Tasting Room $20-$60 The winery produces Sauvignon Blanc, Claret and Cabernet Sauvignon. The flagship, Poetry Cabernet Sauvignon, is crafted from the steep hillside portion of the estate. We look forward to welcoming you at Cliff Lede Vineyards. Current release tastings at the bar are available without an appointment at a cost of $20 per flight. We are open 7 days a week from 10am to 4pm. You are encouraged to also enjoy the veranda, gardens & gallery located on the property. For a more in depth experience, guests are invited to join us for the Cliff Lede Vineyards Estate Tour & Tasting which begins with a guided tour of the property, leading through the vineyards, for a visit to our state-of-the-art, gravity-flow winery. Afterwards, relaxing in our intimate tasting space, a collection of Cliff Lede wines are enjoyed with culinary bites specially created by our resident chef to complement the wines. Time spent with us is approximately two hours. The Estate Tour & Tasting is available by prior reservation at a cost of $60 per guest. All tours are given in a group setting of up to 9 people. We are unable to accommodate anyone who is less than 21 years of age. This includes toddlers and babies in arms.
Cornerstone Cellars
- Tasting Room Off Site We invite you to taste our wines in our Yountville tasting center. Located just steps from great restaurants like The French Laundry, Bouchon, Ad Hoc, Bistro Jeanty, Redd, Hurley's and Bottega and resort hotels like Vilaggio, Bardessono and Luca, a visit to our tasting center can be an all day experience. Located at 6505 Washington Street in the center of Yountville, just across from the Post Office, we're just over an hour from San Francisco and only a few minutes from the Yountville exit of Rt. 29. We're open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Call for more information and reservations.
Cosentino Winery
- Tasting Room - $10-$20 We are very excited to announce that our new Tasting Room in the Lodi area has moved and is now open in our new location. Our new Tasting Room, Cosentino Winery, located in Woodbridge, is a much larger and inviting facility which will also include a wonderful outdoor events area that will host public and private affairs throughout the year.
Girard Winery
- Tasting Room $10-$20 For more than three decades, Girard has celebrated its sense of place in the California wine country. This Winery offers a line-up that features both power and finesse. Thirty years after first planting its vineyards, Girard continues to produce wines reflecting the quality that has made Napa Valley the most famous New World wine-growing region in the world. Napa Valley's rise to fame was punctuated by a renaissance that began at the same time Girard was setting down its own roots.
Hill Family Estate
- Tasting Room - $10 We are pleased to share our wines with visitors to the Napa Valley wine region, at our Sales and Tasting Room in the heart of Yountville's restaurant row. Located at Washington and Mulberry Streets inside the Antique Fair, guests to our Tasting Room enjoy a unique wine experience, tasting our wines in a relaxed, salon-like atmosphere. We are open daily (excluding major holidays) from 10am-6pm. We suggest reservations be made in advance for guests arriving by limousine.
Hoopes Vinyard
- Tasting Room on and off site: The Tasting Room at Napa Wine Company With no plans to make his own wine, Spencer Hoopes first planted the 8 acre parcel next to his home in Oakville back in the late 80's. For years he sold his grapes to other vintners but after hearing so many winemakers tell him that his vineyard produced the best quality fruit that they were getting, he decided in 1999 to take a shot at producing his own wine. Today, the annual production remains at about 1,000 cases a year and, with consistent quality, an enthusiastic following has started to build. Ilsley Vineyards Our Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon is a complex, fully textured, rich wine typical of our hand-farmed vineyard within the Stags Leap District. The "Seis Primas", a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Merlot, blends delicious fruit flavors with elegance and balance.
Jessup Cellars
- Tasting Room - $0-$25 Our Tasting Room is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. We accept Walk-In tasters, as well as Tasting Experiences by appointment.
