Pat's Restaurant
and Bar - Guerneville
In Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Hunter S. Thompson was always
looking for the main nerve.
A few months ago, while on a trip back from Timber Cove, I had stumbled
across Pat's, a rustic diner and bar in the middle of
downtown Stumpville.
The food
and service were excellent on that occasion and I welcomed what I hoped
would be a positive experience again.
I was not to be disappointed.
Greeted like a member of the family, I was offered any vacant seat I desired
in the establishment. Staff seemed genuinely happy to wait on me.
Two fresh-tasting eggs, thick-sliced bacon and the fluffiest of hash browns were
served amid a festival of conviviality.
Diners and staff joined together in
a three-ring-circus of friendliness while I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. |
